| In the ancient world there were two cities known as "Pella." One was the capital of the ancient Macedonian (Greek) State from 400 BC but became deserted during the first decade of the 1st century BC. The other city was in the Middle East, and part of the Roman province of the Decapolis (or Ten Cities) currently located in Jordan. We are currently collecting information and photos about the cities of the Decapolis. If you have photos of Pella that we can use, please contact us. |
